Addington Palace Indian Wedding Photography Surrey
Hindu Wedding Photography at Addington Palace in Surrey
Addington Palace in Surrey is an incredibly beautiful wedding venue and was the perfect setting for Shomit and Priyam’s stunning outdoor Indian wedding.
The day was made up of an intimate civil ceremony which took place before the outdoor Hindu wedding in the lovely grounds of Addington Palace and this was followed by an amazing Indian wedding reception.
Shomit and Priyam are one of the most relaxed couples I have worked with and the whole day had such a relaxed and fun feel to it. The glorious summer weather and outdoor Indian wedding ceremony made the whole day flow perfectly and the wedding reception was filled with lots of smiles and laughter - a lovely was to end such a great day.
Credit for the impeccable planning goes to Ragasaan and it was great to work with the talented Adam and Rachel at the Wedding Filmmakers again.

Addington Palace: A Stunning Wedding Venue in Surrey
If you’re looking for a beautiful wedding venue near London, Addington Palace is a fantastic choice. It’s in the Surrey countryside, just a short distance from the city, and it combines history with modern touches. This Georgian mansion is full of character and elegance, making it perfect for weddings of all sizes. I’ve photographed many weddings here, and the results are always amazing. The mix of indoor and outdoor spaces gives couples lots of options, whether they want a big celebration or something more intimate.
Addington Palace is surrounded by 163 acres of grounds, which include stunning gardens and a golf course. It feels private and peaceful, which is ideal for a wedding day. Inside, the building has incredible details like high ceilings, grand fireplaces, and chandeliers, all of which make a lovely backdrop for photos and memorable moments.
The location is very convenient, just 12 miles from Central London. It’s easy to get there by car, with plenty of parking available, and East Croydon station is nearby for those travelling by train. Guests coming from further away can also use Gatwick Airport, which is about 30 minutes away.
The venue offers several spaces for weddings. The Great Hall is the largest and can hold up to 150 guests for a sit-down meal or 200 for a reception. It’s full of charm, with a grand atmosphere perfect for big weddings. The Winter Garden is a smaller space with lots of natural light, which is great for ceremonies or intimate receptions of up to 80 people. For cosy gatherings, the Ballroom is a lovely option with its elegant design. You can also have an outdoor ceremony in the gardens if the weather is nice.
Addington Palace allows you to bring in your own caterers, which means you can choose exactly the type of food you want. They also work with catering partners who can offer complete packages to make things easier. While there isn’t accommodation on-site, there are several great hotels nearby, like De Vere Selsdon Estate and Hilton London Croydon, so your guests won’t have to travel far.
The wedding team at Addington Palace are really helpful and knows the venue inside out. They’ll work with you from start to finish to make sure everything goes smoothly and your day is exactly how you want it.
For photography, Addington Palace is stunning. The gardens are perfect for outdoor shots, and the building’s exterior makes a dramatic backdrop. Inside, the Great Hall, staircases, and other spaces give endless opportunities for beautiful photos. It’s always a joy to capture special moments here.
If you’re planning a wedding at Addington Palace, here are a few tips. Think about the time of year – the gardens are amazing in spring and summer, but the interiors are just as wonderful in autumn and winter. Make sure to hire experienced suppliers who know how to work with a venue of this scale.
