Adventure Pre-Wedding Photoshoot in the Cotswolds and Peak District
As a destination wedding photographer, I have the pleasure of working with couples in beautiful locations throughout the UK and worldwide. Jamie and Jonathan wanted to include 2 locations for their pre-wedding shoot and chose the picturesque Cotswolds and Peak District. This fantastic day took us through charming villages and dramatic landscapes and was a fun-filled day full of adventure and beautiful scenery.
The day began in the lovely village of Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the "Venice of the Cotswolds" with its idyllic stone bridges and tranquil river. This provided the perfect backdrop for our first location as we explored the quaint streets and picturesque scenes that the Cotswolds are known for.
Next, we visited Lower Slaughter, a quintessential Cotswold village with its charming stone cottages and serene surroundings, before embarking on our journey to the Peak District. The landscape changed from rolling hills to rugged terrain as we arrived at our first Peak District location Ramshaw Rocks. Ramshaw Rocks offer a spectacular panorama of towering rock formations and sweeping vistas. The unique landscape provided an incredible setting for pre wedding photos and was the perfect setting to highlight Jamie and Jonathan's adventurous spirit.
Just a short drive from Ramshaw Rocks is The Roaches, a popular destination known for its dramatic gritstone ridges and breathtaking views. As the sun began to set, we were treated to a stunning sunset which was the perfect way to end this amazing day.

Pre-Wedding and Elopement Photography in the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds is a stunning setting for pre-wedding, engagement, and elopement photoshoots. With its picturesque villages, rolling hills, and lush countryside, there's no shortage of beautiful locations to choose from, making a multi-day shoot a fantastic option to fully immerse yourself in the charm of the region.
Bourton-on-the-Water is an excellent base for exploring some of the best photo spots in the Cotswolds and a great location for starting your pre wedding session in the Cotswolds.
Other remarkable locations in the area include Broadway Tower, a striking folly with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, and the scenic village of Bibury, home to the iconic Arlington Row, a collection of ancient weavers' cottages. The best part of a pre wedding shoot in the Cotswolds is exploring the quaint streets and hidden corners of charming Cotswold villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Castle Combe, and Burford which are all full of hidden gems.

The Southern Peak District offers a breathtaking setting for pre-wedding, engagement, and elopement photoshoots. With its dramatic landscapes, rugged rock formations, and tranquil waters, there's a wealth of beautiful locations to choose from, making a multi-day shoot an excellent way to fully experience the beauty and adventure this region offers.
Leek is an ideal base for exploring some of the most striking photo spots in the Southern Peak District. This charming market town is conveniently located near several awe-inspiring locations, including the magnificent Tittesworth Water, a serene reservoir surrounded by rolling hills, and the impressive Roaches, a gritstone ridge offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Other great locations in the area include Ramshaw Rocks, a collection of fascinating rock formations with a unique and dramatic character, and Lud's Church, a hidden chasm within the verdant forest that provides a sense of mystery and enchantment. The Southern Peak District is filled with hidden gems and adventure and is one of my favourite locations to shoot at.
