Isle of Sky Pre Wedding Photoshoot
Planning a pre-wedding photoshoot on the Isle of Skye offers couples some of the most dramatic and unique landscapes for their pre wedding images. There is so much variety on Skye that it really is one of my favourite locations in the world for adventure pre wedding shoots. Here’s some of my favourite locations in this amazing place.
Top Locations on the Isle of Skye
1. The Old Man of Storr This iconic rock formation is a symbol of Skye and offers dramatic scenery that adds a touch of epic romance to any photo. Early morning shoots here capture the best light and avoid the crowds.
2. Neist Point Lighthouse For a shoot at the edge of the world feel, the lighthouse provides stunning sunsets and rugged cliff views. The journey there is as breathtaking as the destination.
3. Fairy Pools Crystal clear blue pools on the River Brittle are magical, with the Cuillin mountains as a backdrop. Early morning visits offer serene, undisturbed shooting conditions.
4. Quiraing A unique landscape of high cliffs, hidden plateaus, and pinnacles makes Quiraing a photographer's dream. Sunrise here is unparalleled.
5. Elgol Beach For couples looking for a blend of sea, sky, and the Cuillins, Elgol Beach offers it all, especially at sunset when the light dances across the water.
Hidden Gems
1. Coral Beaches Not as frequented as other spots, the Coral Beaches offer white sands and turquoise waters, evoking a sense of tranquillity and isolation perfect for intimate shoots.
2. Fairy Glen A lesser-known spot, Fairy Glen's surreal landscape of small grassy hills and lochans provides a fairy-tale setting without the crowds of the more famous Fairy Pools.
3. Brother's Point A secluded spot offering breathtaking views of the sea and rugged coastline, ideal for capturing those quiet, introspective moments.
