London Pre Wedding Night Photography at Tower Bridge
UK Pre Wedding Photography in London
London pre-wedding photography shoots are always lots of fun and I work with lots of couples from Hong Kong, Singapore and the rest of Asia who travel over to London to take pre-wedding photographs in the UK and Europe.
Michael and Wilco travelled over to London from Hong Kong and we spent a lovely afternoon and evening photographing their pre-wedding photography at Tower Bridge, Horseguards Parade and other locations around the city and I had such a great time with this lovely couple and it was great to shoot into the evening to capture a few night photographs at Tower Bridge which always looks incredible when the city is lit up for the evening.
Here are a few images from this pre-wedding engagement shoot in London.

London offers a magical backdrop for pre-wedding photography, and at night, the city lights create an enchanting atmosphere that adds romance and drama to your images. If you're planning a night pre-wedding shoot in London, here are some of the best locations to consider.
Tower Bridge
One of the most iconic landmarks in London, Tower Bridge is a stunning location for night photography. The bridge lights up beautifully in the evening, reflecting off the River Thames and creating a breathtaking scene. For a variety of shots, consider capturing images from both Potters Fields Park and St. Katharine Docks.
London Eye and South Bank
The London Eye and the South Bank offer a lively and dynamic setting for night photography. The illuminated Ferris wheel creates a romantic backdrop, while the nearby riverside walk provides plenty of opportunities for candid and posed shots. Head towards Jubilee Gardens or Golden Jubilee Bridges for different perspectives.
St. Paul’s Cathedral and Millennium Bridge
For a mix of classic and modern aesthetics, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Millennium Bridge are fantastic choices. The illuminated dome of St. Paul’s provides a timeless backdrop, while the futuristic design of Millennium Bridge offers a striking contrast. The reflections on the Thames make this spot particularly captivating at night.
The Shard and London Bridge
The area around The Shard and London Bridge provides a sleek and contemporary feel. The towering skyscraper lights up the night sky, offering a dramatic urban setting. A shoot here can include More London Riverside, where the city skyline and glass buildings reflect the ambient lights.
Westminster Bridge and Big Ben
For a classic London shot, Westminster Bridge with the illuminated Big Ben and Houses of Parliament in the background is an unbeatable location. The golden glow of these landmarks against the dark sky makes for an incredibly romantic and elegant setting.
Leadenhall Market
If you're looking for something unique, Leadenhall Market is a hidden gem. The ornate Victorian-style covered market is beautifully lit at night and provides a charming, intimate setting that contrasts with the grand outdoor locations.
Combining Day and Night Pre-Wedding Photography
To make the most of your pre-wedding shoot, consider combining both day and night locations:
Start with a day shoot at locations like Hyde Park, Notting Hill, or Greenwich Park for soft, natural light and classic London scenery.
Transition into golden hour at spots like Primrose Hill or St. James’s Park, where the warm glow of the setting sun adds a romantic touch.
Conclude with a night shoot at the iconic locations mentioned above for a dramatic and unforgettable finish.
